Almost Time!

A great treat for us this year, team member John Devroy put together a really nice and entertaining 10 minute DVD! We will show it to all at the end of 2007/kick-off to 2008 team get together coming up late March, I have decided to have a full day of team stuff this year. I am thinking about a mid-morning training ride, and then an early evening get together with a meal and good times, and of course the DVD! Details by the end of the week, along with the final team sponsor outlook for 2008....stay tuned and check back often.

Do some good for cycling!

Go to www.letleviride.com and sign the online petition that Levi has started to get Tour organizers to let him and the Astana team in the big dance! I have been very email vocal with the ASO and USADA over the past few years, and when they did not invite the Astana team to the tour I was ticked off, the best race on earth needs the best team on earth! Just my feelings, swing on by to the website and sign the petition with your email address....if you feel like it!
How about the weather, love the midwest!

You missed a good one!
Devroy and Warren navigating the river, or just the snow covering the river. The terrain was a sometimes soft and sandy like feeling, tough and a great workout, but still very rideable the entire 3 miles we were on the creek.
Mark is demonstrating the toughtest part of riding the snow cover on the creek, getting started back up, you really wanted to keep your momentum once you had it going. There was no need for studded tires out there, Devroy was without and was able to ride away from the rest of us at any time, I think a wider tire may be the ticket. I will continue to ride my studs but a tire that is wide enough to sort of float over the top would be great, the studs are nice for the ride to and from, a sense of security on the potentially slippery spots along the way.
How much fun was it, enough that we very well may do it again next weekend, stay tuned as the week progresses and I will watch the weather to see if it is a go. Every time I looked at one of the guys they had a huge smile on their face, what a good time it was. Stay warm and stop in the shop and get the training started with a CompuTrainer workout, road races are set to begin in March with the Parkside crits down by Kenosha and the the WCA kicks off in April.
Ride on.

Ice 2008
Do I sense the beginnings of a paceline?
Warren, stay out of the crease, gooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaal!
Dennis enjoying a little ride on the ice, looks like he is having a good time!
Just want to say thanks to the guys and gal that showed up and represented, the organizers loved having us and I think we all loved being there! It was fun to get together with team members after a lay off since Sheboygan, thanks to all. I should have the team party all set real soon, waiting to see what the folks at Mackinaws have for the days I asked for, stay tuned.
